What is an etched CD? It is a blank CD imprinted with your personalized design on the front/top.

What can this idea be used for? Send your friends a unique save the date, your family a photo album, or your favorite wedding songs as a favor. Send your customers a presentation or promotion. Bands, present your songs on a spiffy CD to your fans.
Get started: First, choose an available CD color to get your design imprinted on. Options are pale gold, yellow, orange, pinkish-red, blue, or green. Then, contact me to get started on your personal design. Send a photograph, send a logo, or ask for something new.

These CDs are blank 700MB rewritable CDs. You will need the right software and hardware installed on your computer to write ('burn') data onto your CDs. What data you go with is your choice. You could go with text files, photographs, presentations, songs/music, movies, or something else. The CDs are coated with a color on the front (the side your design will be etched on) and blank on the back.
Pricing does not include:
· CD covers or sleeves.
· Any data on the CDs.
The technology: The CDs have a thin dye coating on one side. The coating absorbs a specific type of light, which triggers a chemical reaction that darkens the coating where a laser hits. This is how your darker design is "etched" over the CD. Because these CDs are susceptible to light, if you leave them out in the open by a window for a year, you probably will see some fading.

Here at STDO, when it comes to custom printed products, designs are finalized prior to the customer placing an order. Design proofs are emailed to customers (an email address that you check regularly is needed!). When we have a design finalized and you are ready to order, an order page with your production times, cost, product(s) description, and other details will be set up. There is a limit to the number of free emailed proofs.
