Maps: A common custom design project:

Often, customers find themselves looking for maps to send out with their wedding invitations. (You would not send these with save the dates- too much detail for the save the date). Sometimes a venue will offer a map- but it usually does not look pretty, and, is even more often a poor resolution graphic.

Custom maps are hand drawn, using a digital sketchpad. These are a good example of a custom design project that is going to cost more. Pricing depends on what print size would you would like your map to print at, and whether the map will be simple or complex. 'Complexity' depends not only on how curvy the streets are, but also the style of the map. If you have seen a wedding map you liked, feel free to email me a link/attachment so that I can create something similar. I start the map off black and white, but can add color for extra.

Getting started on a map project, I will first email you a sketch to make sure the layout is correct before going further. At that time, if the rough sketch looks good and you want to go forward, you will be charged for the map. A basic estimate for a small custom map design is $15-$25. Maps can take two weeks to complete, although you can pay more to decrease this time frame.
